Dr Lam graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991 and received his surgical training locally to become a specialist in general surgery in 1998. He furthered his training in the United Kingdom in the field of vascular surgery and upon returning to Hong Kong continued his pursuit in general and vascular surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
At present Dr Lam is a consultant in the division of vascular surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He has been participating in the development of vascular surgery into a subspecialty in Hong Kong and is now honorary treasurer at the Hong Kong Society for Vascular Surgery.
