Dr. Tse is a Vascular Surgeon fully trained in both Endovascular & Open Vascular Surgery.
He completed his foundation training in general surgery in his first 10 years of practice. He then furthered his subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery since 2001. He pursued his training in vascular surgery in several overseas centers in the U.K., the USA and Australia. He initiated the practice of endovascular approach in managing patients with vascular diseases in his hospital. He has performed some of the most complicated vascular operations by employing the skills and knowledge of Open and Endovascular Surgery. His commitment in this area had led the vascular team in his hospital to win the Outstanding Team Award in 2007.
Dr. Tse was the first surgeon in HK to perform Chimney Graft AAA Repair in 2010, and the related presentation was awarded the Best Scientific Paper of the College of Surgeons of HK.
In 2015, Dr. Tse firstly applied Endoanchor in HK for complicated AAA case.
Dr. Tse is also very active in his profession. He is currently the Board member of the Vascular Surgery Board, of the College of Surgeons of HK, and Honorary Secretary of the HK Society for Vascular Surgery. He was the Chairman of the QEH Doctors Association, Founder of the Younger Fellows Chapter in CSHK. He was the Council Member, and Chief Editor of Newsletter of CSHK.
Dr. Tse graduated from the University of HK in 1991. He then started his surgical training by working in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), one of the busiest hospitals in HK.
In 1996, he obtained his surgical fellowship from the Edinburgh College & the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He then furthered his training and in 2000, he obtained another Fellowship from the Australian College, and became a Specialist of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
Off the scalpel, Dr. Tse is always enthusiastic in sports and healthy life. He was a league level soccer player in his teens, a licensed windsurfing instructor in his youth, and currently in love of tennis, golf, and wingfoiling.
