Dr. Wong graduated from the University of Hong Kong Medical School in 1991. He received general and vascular training in Hong Kong and obtained the Fellowship of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (FCSHK) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd) in 1998. He underwent overseas training in famous vascular centers in the UK (St. Mary Hospital, Imperial College School of Medicine) and the USA (Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School) from 1998 to 1999.
After his return, Dr Wong became the Chief Vascular Surgeon in Hospital Authority New Territories West Cluster, including Tuen Mun Hospital & Pok Oi Hospital. NTWC’s catchment population is about 1.2 million. He is responsible for providing vascular surgery services to patients including endovascular and open surgery for aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial diseases, arterial access, venous diseases, etc.
He is also trainer to surgical trainees, Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the University of Hong Kong Medical Faculty, Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of the Surgical Department, Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Meanwhile Dr. Wong is also the Vice Chairman of Vascular Surgery Board, the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (CSHK) and the Council Member of the Hong Kong Society Vascular Surgery (HKSVS).
